THE INTENDED AND PROPER USE OF TOUCH-UP PAINT
Touch-up paint is not intended to be used as a substitute or as a suitable replacement for industrial applied, baked-on, factory coated steel and aluminum building products produced and sold by Klauer Manufacturing Company. It is recommended that scratched and damaged product be replaced rather than installed and repaired with any type or brand of touch-up paint. Air dry paints are dissimilar in many ways to our coil coated paint systems and will not perform in a similar manner. Normal sun exposure and outdoor elements will cause applied touch-up paint to weather, chalk, and fade at a highly accelerated rate over all types of baked-on factory applied coatings. When applying touch-up paint, be aware that additional applications will need to be made in the future if a scratch is to continue to be concealed as previous applications fade or change color. Touch-up paint is a non-warrantied product and proper use and storage is critical to its limited performance.

Fill small surface scratches with narrow applications of color matching paint using the tip of a paint pen or a small artist style brush. Paint should be applied only to the extent that the small surface scratch is filled and any excess paint removed.
Intended to be used to paint accessories or building components on or near a structure to color blend into the Klauer brand building products installed or utilized on the structure. At no time is it recommended that any type of aerosol spray paint be applied to the finished surfaces of any Klauer branded product.
